I'm working on a floral-print sundress right now, and a few nights ago it was time to start gathering the skirt. I usually don't mind gathering, but sometimes it is incredibly frustrating because, for me, it is SO HARD to make the gathers look even. It usually looks really unprofessional and like I got lazy, even if I slaved over the darn thing for hours. But this time...

The thing kind of looks like a medieval torturing device (see above), but it is so awesome. I am also kind of obsessed with the piping foot, because 1.) I love piping and 2.) it also does a professional-looking job.
Ahh, the wonders of sewing machine feet.
